October 31, 2024 – 3PM-4PM – Necessary Skills Now: Resources for Integrating Employability Skills into Technical Programs
The Necessary Skills Now Network ( NSN-Network) is dedicated to facilitating collaboration between educators and employers to improve the employability skills of entry-level technicians in STEM fields. During the 23-24 academic year, several Florida Engineering Technology faculty participated in mentored cohorts to implement some of the NSN modules for employability skills in their classes. This webinar will include an overview of the NSN Network and the particular curriculum these faculty used. This introduction will be followed by a panel of Florida faculty who will share their experiences in these faculty cohorts and in their classrooms with the NSN modules. They will also share student responses to the materials and how they plan to continue using the modules to address these skills in their programs. Please join us to continue the conversation on preparing students for work.
