FLATE professional development webinars and workshops provide educators with training on ways to attract and retain students and/or understand new, complex technologies. All are free to attend and certificates of attendance for PD/CE are available upon request.

August 8-9, 2024: Edge Computing Educator Workshop, Hillsborough Community College (Brandon, FL)
This in-person, hands-on workshop is for technical educators who want to learn more about equipment data collection and management as a simulation of production processes. In the 2-day workshop, attendees will use a Raspberry Pi set up to simulate data collection and manipulation with industrial sensors in an industrial setting. All attendees of the full 2 days will take home a kit to use at their home institutions. Lodging will be covered for attendees over 50 miles away. A $200 stipend will be provided for those who complete the workshop. An additional $200 will be given for those who implement the workshop activities in a fall 2024 semester. Requirements for this stipend will be provided during the workshop.
