Starting in 2006, FLATE and the Manufacturers Association of Florida (MAF) expanded the “Made in Florida” Outreach campaign though the placement of annual manufacturing “advertorials” in Florida Trend’s NEXT magazine. Through this strategic partnership we have reached as many as 750,000 Florida high school students each year informing them about careers in modern manufacturing, and providing them the guidance to make the educational choices needed to obtain these careers. These advertorials are industry sponsored ($118,000) and have returned significant self-directed student response.
